Top Comdr: Presence of trans-regional fleets in Persian Gulf falls significantly

Bushehr, IRNA - Chief of the General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri says the presence of trans-regional fleet in the Persian Gulf has dropped significantly in recent years.

Speaking to reporters in the southern Iranian port of Bushehr, Bagheri said that the significant reduction in the presence of trans-regional fleets in the Persian Gulf is a sign that Iran has been successful in establishing stable security in the region.

He added that regional security is a product of round-the-clock air and sea patrols by Iran’s military in the region.

The commander said that Iranian military and law enforcement units, including the army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and the Ministry of Defense forces, are in full readiness to protect the country's maritime borders in Bushehr province.
